An Experimental Analysis of Active Pitch Control for an Assault Amphibious Vehicle Considering Waterjet-Hydrofoil Interaction Effect

چکیده

The present study aims to reduce the pitch motion of an assault amphibious vehicle system in seaways by waterjet impeller revolution rate control. A series seakeeping tests were performed a towing tank with 1/4.5-scale model. This is manufactured as box-shaped hull, and since appendage that generates lift force attached, amount change large according forward speed. For reduction, resultant moment controlled through proportional-integral-derivative controller. Improvements performance examined both regular irregular conditions model terms root mean square motion. tuned controller decreased more than 60%.
